CITY OF REMERTON - REGULAR MEETING & Public 2010/2011 Budget Meeting
MONDAY, MARCH 8, 2010 - 5:30 P.M. Welcome Guests.
Pledge and Prayer -By Council person Sherry Wood
Establish Quorum of Council - Council members Wood, Gordon, Stacks, Wetherington and Mayor Holsendolph were present. There is onve vacant council seat.
Approval of minutes from Regular Council Meeting, Monday, February 8, 2010 - Approved without comment. Citizens to be Heard -None NEW BUSINESS:
1. Financial Report-Lisa Mashburn, City Clerk
2. Consideration regarding employee insurance quotes for year 2010. - Approved unanimously to continue with Provident for health insurance and swith to Lincoln for all other insurance.
3. Authorization for City Administrator to proceed with development of the Remerton Mill Project. - Approved three to one to proceed with the information gathering stage. Council member Reggie Stacks voted no.

OLD BUSINESS:
1. Second reading to amend the Alcoholic Beverages Ordinance of the City of Remerton. - Read, no vote, yet. ADJOURN. (min 9:25)
PUBLIC HEARING IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING REGULAR SESSION. "The Mayor and Council of the City of Remerton will hold a Public Hearing at City Hall to discuss the budget for fiscal year 2010-2011 on March 8, 2010 immediately following the 5:30 p.m. Regular Session. Adoption of the Proposed Operating Budget will be at Remerton City Hall Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. A copy of the Proposed Operating Budget may be viewed at Remerton City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m., Monday –Friday." ------------------------------------------------------------ City Attorney Brad Folsom announce that he had sent the revised proposed new City Charter to Council and Mayor and that there were only 19 legislative days left to get it through the State legislature this year. Council member Bill Wetherington maintains the CityofRemerton.com website and said he would publish a copy there soon for the public to examine.** There will be another meeting at 5:30 on Monday, March 22, 2010 for budget changes and a possible vote on the proposed charter.
