Something is up with the Strickland Mill property. J. Glenn Gregory, who has been the Chairman of the DDA since its inception, has resigned. He is also one of the investor in the Strickland Mill property. The reason for the resignation was to "avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest".( Resignation letter available by clicking here. )
Also, although he said nothing during the meeting, Mr. William M. York of CDP, Inc. was present at Work Session of Feb. 1st. He is a partner in CDP with Mr. Kirby Glaze who worked with the previous Council and DDA during their attempt at buying the Mill. Click here for the CDP website.
