Wood & Gordon receive the Lydia Day Good Govt. Award at Xmas Party
Sunday, 20 December 2009

During this year's City of Remerton Christmas Party, Council members Sherry Wood and Ryan Gordon were awarded the First Annual Lydia Day Good Government Award.  Wood & Gordon were this year's unanimous choice for their hard work in the actualization off former Council member Lydia Z. Day's vision for a better Remerton.  That vision included:

1. Removal of the former City Manager
2. Clean, safe water for all the City's citizens and businesses.
3. A revised and enforced Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance.
4. A fair and enforceable noise ordinance.
5. A city government that is open and responsive to the needs of it's citizens.

Council Members Ryan Gordon & Sherry Wood suggested renaming their street of of mutual residence from Wayland Drive to Lydia Lane.  Other suggestions were renaming  Poplar or Plum to Day Street.  The Bar Owner's Association has agreed to pick up the costs of new signs, according to Mr. Gordon.

For those of you unfamiliar with the politics of Remerton, all of the above is total "bullcrap".  Apparently some fun was had at the former council member's expense during the City's Christmas party.  This story will be available in the "Humor(?)'" Section, later.
