During a November 5th, 2008 interview with Alicia Eakin of WALB TV Mayor Holsendloph was quoted as saying; "We are thinking about closing at 2:00 AM and have the patrons out of the bars by 3:00 AM...There's always going to be some who agree with it and some who don't. But I think the general consensus is on the safety of the citizens and the police officers...We want to help reduce alcohol related problems." (Updates - Here is an "Our Opinion" piece in the Thursday, Nov. 13th Valdosta Daily Times ;. and from WCTV's Kim Carapucci, a piece aired Wednesday night.)
We wonder what changed between then and Monday's Council Session. Any ideas? Make a comment below.
